The Barrelman

This was out first visit. The service was great. The food was all lovely except for the burger my daughter had. The burger sauce was spicy and the burger was quite dry so she didn't eat it. She did love the garlic dough balls and the churros. Eveything on the menu tells you if a gluten free alternative is available which was great for my husband. It is dog friendly is well which is why we chose it. We had our little dog with us who happily sat in the corner.

Stopped by for dinner with friends and it was the perfect place to catch up and enjoy some lovely food and drinks. Cocktails were spot on, and the servers were very attentive. Good value for money in a well run bar. We will be back!

After a couple of pretty mediocre Scottish restaurants we really hit the jackpot with this one. The katsu burger and braised beef sandwich were amazing but especially the barrelman pie was extraordinary. 10/10 would come again!

The Barrelman is also a great place to visit. Food is on the pricier side than most places but it is certainly delicious. If you also want fancier drinks then this is the place to be. It has lovely decor and the TVs always play sea life videos which add to the atmosphere and are just a joy to watch. I would like to add a special thanks to our server Max who was very polite and accommodating. He also gave a great and cheery happy birthday performance while bringing out a birthday cookie for us. Please give him a great well-done as his service is an asset to the business. The lady there with the glasses and stripy t shirt was also lovely but I never got her name.

Was looking for a straight forward pub to enjoy an evening meal and found The Barrelman. Amazingly friendly and welcoming staff who were always on hand to take an order or to clear empties. The food and drinks menu were full of fun and interesting items, encouraging me to order a couple of cocktails, as well as Haggis bites and a burger.

I had a brief trip to Dundee the other weekend for some Christmas shopping with my friend! I Of course we needed to fuel our trip with some good food, so as soon as we got to Dundee we headed to the Barrelman! The Barrelman is situated on Commercial Street, right in the centre of Dundee! They serve up brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails! I didn't get many pictures as I was too busy chatting, but this was such a delicious meal, we had Philly cheesesteak sandwich (sauteed steak strips with onions, peppers, cheese and mustard mayo on toasted ciabatta). We also had super loaded beef brisket fries (slow-cooked beef brisket, melted cheese, chilli and spring onion) To drink, we had the non-alcoholic pornstar martinis! Both our meals were absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed my Philly cheesesteak sandwich, the streak was so tender and full of flavour! You had the choice of soup or fries on the side and I went for fries! My friend also really enjoyed the loaded fries and we both demolished everything We weren't drinking so we got the non-alcoholic pornstar martinis! I should've got a picture as they looked beautiful when we got them! They even came with a little shot of lemonade which was so cute! I would definitely recommend if you're in Dundee and looking for somewhere to have some munch! Hopefully I'll get back soon to try some of their cocktails and other tempting meals on the menu! 10/10
